CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
If you know me, you know I am terrible with directions. I sometimes get lost even going to places I have been to several times and rely on GPS more than I care to admit. Life can feel a lot like navigating without a map, which is at the heart of what Inner Map Therapy is about. Therapy can be a space to help you see the patterns that guide your life and together we can turn confusion into clarity, uncertainty into direction, and help you move forward at your pace.
In sessions, we look at the habits, emotions, and unconscious stories that shape your life. Together, we notice what keeps showing up, understand it, and explore new directions that feel right for you.
My passion is rooted in my desire to hear your story. As your therapist, I see myself as a fellow traveller on your journey toward finding meaning and purpose in life. I am committed to making space for you to explore your authentic self and move towards a life you want to live. My experience focuses on individuals at different stages of life who may be facing challenges and looking for qualified support.
I began my path in helping professions with a passion for supporting individuals and their families. After completing my undergraduate degree in Religious Education and Human Services, I worked with a wide range of people, including military families, children of all ages, and single moms. Along the way, I served as a Child & Youth Intern in Cambridge, a Family Life Educator with the National Council on Family Relations, and an Outreach Support Worker at the Military Family Resource Centre. More recently, I have been a Family Coach at Safe Families Canada and an Art Collaborator at DoGood Oxford, combining creativity and connection in my work.
I have completed all requirements for a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and have completed basic training in Coherence Therapy and EMDR through their respective institutes, which informs how I support clients in processing emotions, uncovering patterns, and fostering personal growth.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy glamping with my three kids, reading, writing, and experimenting with creative projects.
I emphasize evidence-based solutions tailored to your individual circumstances, aiming to facilitate transformative healing and meaningful change in your life. I prioritize understanding your unique needs and assess how I can best support you. My main therapeutic modalities through both a person-centered and attachment lens include narrative therapy, coherence therapy, schema therapy, biopsychosocial approaches, family systems therapy, ACT, EMDR, and faith-based approaches.
